AFS – AIDS Food Store is one of the beneficiaries of AIDS Walk Long Beach this year.\nOur Goal for the walk is $1000!!\nPlease consider donating to our team and sharing the link with your family and friends.\nDonate to AIDS WLAK Long Beach – Team AFS\nhttps://centerlb.rallybound.org/teamafs ( https://centerlb.rallybound.org/teamafs )\nNovember 14th, 2021\nRun Participants Start Time: 9:30 a.m.\nWalk Participants Start Time: 10:00 a.m.\n\nAIDS Walk Long Beach 2021 will return to an in-person, live event on the walking path right on the shore here in Long Beach. The walk is 5-kilometers or 3.1-miles, and participants have the choice to walk or run the route. All participants will get morning snacks, coffee, juice, and water at the start/finish of the event, with a water stop at the turn-around point.\nWith COVID-19 and the recent guideline changes related to current variants, the walk will offer an alternative, virtual walk to provide an additional option for those most vulnerable to the virus. Local routes throughout Long Beach will be available for participants to walk at their own pace and time. More details of additional paths that allow for physical distancing will be shared soon.\nEach participant who registers is encouraged to fundraise towards our collective goal each year. Swag items for the top fundraisers will be presented at the event’s start or picked up at the Center the weekend of the walk. Funds collected will support The LGBTQ Center Long Beach’s health programs and services and local agencies that provide services for people impacted by HIV. There will be no minimum fundraising total for participants; however, monies raised by individuals or private teams will support the Center’s mental health programs, legal services, transgender primary healthcare, older adult programming, youth and family services activities, and the numerous social and support groups.\n
