Silver Fox Host Fashion Show Benefit for AFS – AIDS Food Store Long Beach

See the hottest in fashion the Silver Fox.  Swimwear, T-shirts, and underwear by JP Designs will be featured in this year as some of the area’s top models strut their stuff for charity.

For the past 15 years, AFS –  AIDS Food Store and the Silver Fox have joined together with local designers to present the season’s best fashions.  On Sunday, July 23rd  at 4:00 pm come down to the Silver Fox at 411 Redondo Avenue in Long Beach to see what you should be wearing featuring the designs from Jomo Patterson.  These distinct and exciting designs will be present on the runway and will be available for purchase.

During your visit purchase raffle tickets for your chance to win a variety of specially curated gift baskets along with gift certificates from local retail establishments.  These prizes are valued at more than $5000.  More prizes will be available on the night of the fashion show.  All proceeds benefit AFS AIDS Food Store, Long Beach.

“There have been great strides in medication and treatment for HIV and AIDS over the last 25 years and people are living longer, however, infection is still an issue in many communities and demographics and the need continues to be great,” says Jean Hartman, AFS President.

Every year, we march with the biggest rainbow flag sharing our love with a smile. Let’s march down Ocean Blvd and show our pride! Our goal is for 100 people to walk the parade holding the rainbow flag!!

Long Beach Pride Parade this year is on Sunday, July 10th, starting at 10PM. We will meet at the area near Temple Ave and Ocean Blvd at 8:30AM. – We will update you about the meeting location and time later on.

LGBTQ youths, adults, seniors, allies, volunteers, donors, and supporters – Everybody is welcome to march with us.

This is a super fun opportunity to march in one of the largest pride parades in the world. Every year, we enjoy walking down the Ocean Boulevard holding the rainbow flag and waving to the participants with a smile. Most importantly, by marching with us, you are representing a great organization that helps people living with HIV and LGBTQ community!

About AFS: We are a key resource to address food insecurity in greater Long Beach compassionately. We provide food to people with food insecurity, those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, and the LGBTQ community. Today, AFS is the longest-serving HIV/AIDS food provider in Southern California!
